What is Purging?
When cached content is purged, it is marked as invalidated and triggers an origin pull for a new copy from the Reverse Proxy origin.
This is useful when content is updated and needs to be invalidated for a new copy to be cached.

How to Purge via the Portal
To purge content in the portal:
Log in to the CacheFly portal
Navigate to the Services top-level menu
Click on the service name for which you would like to purge content
Click Purge on the left-hand menu
You can select Purge All to purge all content currently cached for that service
Or you can provide a list of files or paths to purge
Once you have a list for files or paths to purge, click Purge Files
Scroll the graphics in this step horizontally to see all the screens.
How to Purge via the API
Purging can also be done via our API. More details about purging via our API can be found in our API documentation.
