Activating/Deactivating a User

You can edit the status of a user to make the status ACTIVE or DEACTIVATED (Activate or Deactivate the user):

  • When the status of the user is ACTIVE, the user can log in to the CacheFly Portal with the Username and password that have been defined

  • When the status of the user is DEACTIVATED, the user cannot log in to the CacheFly portal.

You can change the status of user:

  • By clicking the down arrow at the right of the user entry in the overall Users listing (Administration > Users). Then click on Activate/Deactivate (depending on current status) in the dropdown menu that appears.

  • By clicking the Activate/Deactivate button (depending on current status) in the top right for any of the three screens User Info, Permissions, and Security for a specific user (navigate to Administration > Users > USERNAME > USER INFO or PERMISSIONS or SECURITY).

In each of the possibilities above for changing the status of a user, a popup will appear asking you to confirm your action (scroll the graphics in this step horizontally if necessary to see this second screen).

Click on the red Activate/Deactivate button in the popup to activate/deactivate.

The popup disappears and the User Info screen is displayed again with a confirmatory User activated/deactivated with success message at the top right of the screen.
